Hi all!
Wondering if anyone has taken the “ABC’s Of Sleep” 5-24 month old course.. is it worth the $$? Did it actually help? I’m on the fence about buying it due to the price & I’m against the CIO method (just doesn’t work for me/my family dynamic) but.. our situation is a bit unique.
My LO will be 13 months old next week. We’ve co slept since he was about 3 months old, so he’s never slept in crib or in his own room. We’ve always rocked him to sleep or I nurse him to sleep.. so he doesn’t fall asleep independently. Same with naps.
For the past month, LO has been waking up every 1-2 hours throughout the night and needing to be rocked/nursed (sometimes both) to go back to sleep. I’m so exhausted. Feels like we’re in the newborn stage all over again. Know there is 12 month sleep regression, teething & other factors also contributing but overall we are just ready to make the transition for him to be in his crib. We know we’re in for it
Just wondering if trying to implement tips from TCB blog and other advice is going to be just as good instead of dropping all the $$$ for the sleep course.
(not looking for any judgement / mom shaming)
Thank you mamas!

Not for you since you’re not into CIO. It’s literally just the Ferber method. I’ve heard amazing things about @thesleepyheadcoach I follow them on Instagram and love their tips. They don’t use any CIO and I actually follow someone else that bought their class and their son sleeps through the night now. We did a gentle approach from the beginning which worked well with us!

@tay16,
thank you!! I really appreciate the feedback.. I’m gonna check them out. Gentle approach is what I’m definitely leaning towards & think that’ll work best for us!

I deff agree with above posters. TCB is rough for cosleeping babies. We coslept 8 months, and then used some of the @heysleepybaby methods to transfer to her crib. We moved her to a floor bed this past month because of the 12 month regression and its worked wonders for us. My husband puts her to sleep now and I never in a million years thought that we be our normal.

There’s a few free resources in Facebook if you’re interested in checking those out first. It’s all the same general idea, using whatever method you’re comfortable with. They were so helpful when we “sleep trained” our guy. I personally wouldn’t pay for it. ♀️

I think heysleepybaby crib guide would be more up your alley. It’s more of a process but does not require crying at all. It’s supporting your baby throughout the whole transition of sleeping alone.

I am on same boat, we are dying here, so exhausted.
We are co-sleeping since he is born, he just wants to nurse whole night.
First i am trying night weaning, so i am sleeping in guest room and my son is sleeping with my husband. We are doing this for 4 days and last night was horrible, they both were awake since 12-3 and i was sleeping.
I want my son to sleep 10 hours independently in his crib.
I don’t know how to start, please share what is helping for you.
I am also planning to buy takingcarababies’s ABC method but it’s very expensive.
Can someone please share their pdf or video if they bought it and don’t mind sharing.
This tired mommy will really appreciate that .
Thanks

TCB is so worth your sleep, sanity, and family health/well-being. Never thought I’d be saying it for a cry method but for the first 10 months of our son’s life we were up every 30 min-2 hrs and refused to let in to the idea of something that seems so unnatural. That is until I fell down The stairs with my baby being so sleep deprived ( we are okay) I knew we needed to change. It seems rough but really Cara helps you have more gentle approaches so your baby still knows they are loved (crying still involved) , but your baby and family will love you for giving them the gift of sleep. I promise!
