Hi there! My LO is almost 10 months old and we finally got her to sleep through the night a few weeks ago. We did taking Cara babies, lightly. Once she began sleeping through then night, her naps improved to 2- 1.5 hour naps a day and a bedtime of 7-7:30, sleeping 11-12 hours straight, which is perfect!
However, she has those random days where her naps are only 45 min or even 30 min and she refuses to go back to sleep. On those days, do you just put them to bed early? We follow her wake windows and her last wake window is usually a max of 4 hours. But on days where her last nap ends at 2, she gets tired around 5:30. I feel like that is too early to put her to bed, I don’t want her waking up at 5:30am ready for the day. Do I try and keep her up longer to atleast 6:30?
Thanks in advance!

In that scenario I would put her down for a short nap and have a later bedtime in order to avoid the 5:30 am wake up. But my daughter does not sleep through the night, does not have a consistent length that she sleeps at night, we do not follow a schedule, and we are not sleep training, so I cannot specifically speak to the sleep training part. So it doesn't bother me to have things different for a day that her naps are out of wack. My daughter decided to do a longer wake window than normal this afternoon which happens sometimes so I put her down for a nap at 5:10 and woke her up around 5:55 so that she wouldn't be going to bed really early. I much prefer later wake ups over earlier.

anything after 5 is fair game after poor nap days. Do not add a third nap. You will make your child very overtired. If they wake early the next day leave them in the crib and base first nap off desired wake time and try to get back on track
