So my Aug 22 babe was formula fed and we did a pretty gentle sleep training with her at 5 months, took two nights and she took to it pretty well. She wasn’t eating anymore at night so we didn’t have to worry about cutting out feeds which I think helped make the process some what easier. My January 24 babe just turned 5 months and sleeps horribly(as I know it’s normal for babies that small to do) she is exclusively breastfed and that’s the only way she will sleep.. from the moment she was born the only way she would sleep was either in my arms or in bed right next to me, I tried everything to get her to sleep on her own but never found anything that worked.. at 3ish months she started going through her sleep regression and the only way she would sleep was nursing.. all night, basically just using me as a pacifier, (she won’t take a regular pacifier, I’ve tried all the kinds) she will wake up after a little if it’s not in her mouth anymore and start to cry and the only way to soothe her back to sleep is to nurse her. I’m exhausted to say the least, I don’t get good sleep because I’m scared of her suffocating or she latch’s back on and it wakes me up, or if she can’t find it she immediately starts to cry. I think the only way we can break this now habit is sleep training her in her own room. I know a lot of people are against it but I’m literally at a loss of what to do? So if anyone went through something similar or has any advice for an EBF baby that you sleep trained I will take all the advice.
*I posted on another thread I’m in for my older daughter incase anyone from here is in that way too & seeing this again*

My daughter is combo fed and she has bad colic and was an incredibly horrible sleeper!
Colic has been gone for 1.5 months she is 4 months at the moment. We are currently sleep training her we did the Ferber method for nights wakes, naps and for putting her down for the night, the only time I will pick her up is if she’s hungry. I normally wait 3-5 minutes before picking her up and feeding her (only if it’s been a few hours) if it’s been one hour of a night wake I let her put herself back down to sleep. Even now she has difficulty doing it! It’s a hit or miss every other day but she’s getting so much better (I also mostly breastfeed if I sees she’s still hungry formula)
